Wednesday was the night of my regular cross stitch club meeting and we had a new member join us, someone who heard of the group through my blog – it was quite exciting meeting someone I’d only “chatted” with before online!
Thought I would let you know about some visitors we had to our cross stitch club last meeting. As you may recall I am a member of Spen Valley Cross Stitch Club, and it was our meeting last Wednesday.
Our cross stitch exhibition didn’t go quite as well this time as we’d hoped. We usually have a busy hall filled with people browsing the work, drinking tea and spending money! But this one was quiet by comparison. A pity, as there was some lovely work on display. I forgot to take my camera (don’t ask, it was one of those days!) so unfortunately I don’t have any pictures to show you. Read the rest of this entry
Time for a plug for the cross stitch club that I attend.
It’s called – believe it or not from the title, Spen Valley Cross Stitch Club. We meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month, 7.30pm to 9pm at the Central Methodist Church in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, BD19 5AR. Our leader is Hazel Powell and she can be contacted on 01274 862 071 or by emailing.
We’re a friendly bunch and hold occasional exhibitions of our work at Saturday coffee mornings. We get together to chat, sew and have a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.
Get in touch with Hazel if you think you’d like to come along and join us! Their website may be found at www.spenvalleycrossstitch.com
